I grew up in the carburetter days. I was never into muscle cars or
even rice burners. I just always liked to drive. My first car was a
'83 dookie-brown Toyota Corolla Hatchback-complete with louvres.
From there I had various beaters with my first new car being
a 2000 Saturn SL. A Dodge Grand Caravan with StownGo followed that
ride. What may be my last new vehicle... ever... came next; my
Darling Nikki... The 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Plum Crazy Special
Edition. She has thrown me into the world of muscle. There is no
turning back.
Stock, this vehicle was ready for the Nürburgring. With high performance Brembo brakes all the way around, 425 horses and pretty impressive handling for a car so large and heavy. The 'Ring was the next addiction. Every mod has been to steer her towards increased 'road course' performance. Check out the Specs page to take a look at the modificatons done.
According to most forums on the web,
top possible speed with the average stock Chally is 178MPH. Well,
Nikki is no average Chally is she? I believe this 'Over-the-Top"
speed is attributed to the lowering, creating greater
aerodynamics.
On a side note, notice the position of the gas gauge after this run... sigh lol.
For Nikki's new shoes, I went with
Bremmer Kraft 20" Black Chrome. 8.5" up front and 10" rear. I
wrapped them up with Michelen Pilot Super Sport 255/35 front and
275/35 back.
